Derrick Riley is a Los Angeles creative director with experience in sponsorship, wayfinding, branding, exhibitions, fabrication, & photography. His expertise lies in bringing clarity and intention to complex environments, large and small. Among these, his work includes brand sponsorship for the LA Clippers at Intuit Dome, Pepsi at SoFi Stadium, and Mercedes-Benz at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
He studied architecture, but is drawn to the space between disciplines. Alongside client work, he pursues parallel creative paths through photography and fragrance as a hobby. His photo journal is an ongoing personal archive, built over years of travel across cities, from Kunming to Berlin. TLÖN, his fragrance project, reflects the same attention to craft: It's an exploration of scent, identity, and what a small creative brand can be.
TLÖN began as a hobby dabbling in fragrance with the desire to turn it into more of a small business. This placeholder site includes my explorations into the brand and various ways I might start to integrate various products and imagery.
